CULLMAN –  The Cullman Regional Foundation will host the annual Dr. Herman C. Ensor Lights of Love Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 5:30 p.m.

The special ceremony, which will take place in the Colonel Cullmann Room in Professional Office Building II, is a way to honor and remember local citizens. The late Claude Alsbrooks, a former Foundation president, will also be honored.

Giving a “gift of love” for $20, $40, $60 or more places a light on the Christmas tree as a tribute to someone special to the giver. The gifts are tax-deductible and support the Foundation’s mission of advancing healthcare services at Cullman Regional.

Those who are honored by, and family members of those remembered by, gifts of love will receive special acknowledgement cards.

The community and contributors are invited to the tree lighting ceremony to view a presentation of the names of those being honored and remembered.

Christmas music will be performed by Cullman High School music and theater students, Dr. Joe Johnson, and the First Baptist Church Ladies’ Ensemble and Children’s Choir.  The evening will conclude with the lighting of the Christmas tree.  Light refreshments will be served during and after the ceremony.

According to the Foundation, donations may be contributed throughout the holiday season and gifts received by Monday, Dec. 4 will be included in the special ceremony.

Donations may be made online at www.cullmanregional.com/foundation/events or by calling the Foundation at 256-737-2565.
