CULLMAN – The 6th Annual “Bow-Up Against Breast Cancer” 3-D Archery Tournament took place at the Cullman Community Archery Park on June 10-11. Bowhunters and archers of all ages competed in a tournament to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA), raising more than $33,000 for breast cancer research in Alabama.

During the past six years, the event has raised more than $140,000 in support for the BCRFA, whose mission is “To help find a cure for breast cancer by funding promising Breast Cancer Research and to raise community awareness and funding for that research.”

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting innovative research to help diagnose, treat, prevent and eradicate the disease. Since its inception in 1996, the BCRFA has contributed more than $6.75 million to fund research at the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center and their collaborative partners. All funds raised stay here in the state of Alabama, but the research has a global, life-saving impact.
