Holly Ann Tucker passed away in the arms of her loved ones on July 22nd, 2026, at the age of 43 after a long fought war with cancer. She was safe and warm in her home of eight years in Cullman, Alabama when she finally had to fight no longer.

Holly is survived by her devoted husband of twenty-six years, Brandon Tucker, daughter, Cheza Tucker, mother, Myrtle Doss, older sisters, Christine Welch, and J.J. Shackelford and her Mother and Father in law, Janet and Wade Lawrence.

Anyone that met Holly would have known how big of a heart she possesed. She loved her family above anything else and worked her whole life to give to the people around her. She was a strong shoulder to cry on and understood all your woes and worries, even when she herself had things to carry of her own, she never let anyone feel unloved or unwelcomed. Holly was a beautiful poet and writer who spoke straight from the soul and showed her affections openly to everyone she knew. Even while carrying her daughter, she attended WSCC and then graduated as a licensed practical nurse on April, 6th, 2010 where she used this knowledge to further tend to the ones hurting that she could.

A thousand years would never have been enough to have such a bright, kind, and caring mother like Holly in this world. She will forever be remembered for the heart she had, and the time she used it.

Holly’s celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 19th. The location will be announced at a later date.
