He found joy in the simple things in life. He loved listening to WDRM country music, especially songs by George Strait. He enjoyed collecting and wearing watches and hats, and he was fascinated by trains, airplanes, combines, bulldozers, cement trucks, garbage trucks, and watching the mailman make his daily rounds. Receiving mail always brought a smile to his face, and he eagerly looked forward to his JC Penney catalog arriving in the mailbox.

Christmas was his favorite time of year. He loved Santa Claus, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and the excitement and wonder of the holiday season. Birthdays were also very special to him and were celebrated in a big way every year.

He never turned down a good meal and especially enjoyed Captain D’s fish, KFC chicken, milkshakes, McDonald’s, and Jack’s. He also had a special affection for stuffed animals, particularly Easter bunnies like his beloved “Hop Hop.”

He will be remembered for the happiness he found in everyday moments, the love he shared with his family, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
