A Graveside Service for Dianne Marie Scavarda, age 68 of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Scavarda passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at her residence. She was born June 25, 1957, Donald Daley and Catherine Schultz Daley.
Today was a devastating day for my family. Heaven gained yet another angel out of our bunch. Our mom, “Nana”, lost her battle with the recovery from a broken hip. Sounds crazy, but you’d be surprised how often it happens. After weeks of declination in strength and balance, she suffered a neurological complication leaving her unable to speak and with almost complete loss of motor function. She drew her last breath at 2:07 pm. Mom was an angel in life so I’m sure she’ll get her wings quickly on the other side. Whether you knew her as family, from work, as a substitute teacher, softball coach, basketball fan, or additional mom figure, you were blessed to be in her circle. She will be privately cremated then join our dad at a later date followed by a celebration of life. We ask that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to your local animal shelter or suicide prevention foundation. Thank you in advance for the kind words, prayers and condolences. – Cathy Spicer
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael Richard Scavarda; grandchild, Nathaniel Spicer; son-in-law, Daniel Spicer; brother, Tom Daley; sister, Sandra Gesky; brother-in-law, August Hibel.
Survivors include her daughters, Catherine Spicer, Linda Royce (Scott), Elizabeth Scavarda (Brian) and fur daughter, Molasses; grandchild, Noah Spicer; grand dogs, Snickers, Red, Atlas, Chi and Twyla; sister, Suzanne Hibel; brothers, Joe Daley, Don Daley, Bill Daley and Bob Daley and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.
