A graveside service for Nathan Aaron, 77, of Crane Hill will be 4 p.m. Thursday May 21st at Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home,
Mr. Aaron was born October 24, 1948, in Cullman, Alabama to the late John & Gracie Aaron.
Nathan Aaron, a devoted father, proud veteran, and respected member of his community, passed away on May 15, 2026, in Crane Hill, Alabama. His life was marked by service, dedication, and a deep love for those closest to him.
Mr. Aaron was immensely proud of his time serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was attached to the famed 173rd Airborne Brigade. His military service was one of the greatest honors of his life, and he carried that pride with him always. Following his service, he continued his career at Ft. Benning, where he faithfully worked for 25 years before retirement.
Above all else, Nathan was a loving father who treasured his family. He loved deeply and provided support, guidance, and encouragement throughout his children’s lives. After retiring, he returned home to Cullman, where he enjoyed being closer to family, friends, and the community he cherished.
Education was also important to Nathan, and he took great pride in being a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He believed in hard work, perseverance, and setting an example for others through dedication and integrity.
Mr. Aaron will be remembered for his patriotism, quiet strength, and the love he shared with those blessed to know him. His legacy of service and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
Mr. Aaron is survived by his children, Michael Aaron, Cynthia Aaron-Crew; grandchildren, Blake Morgan (Mike), Jacob Crew; great grandson, Thomas Morgan; sisters, Anita Harden, and Judy Guthrie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Aaron was preceded in death by his father, John Aaron, and his mother, Loraine Aaron.
