CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week is Uncle Phil, a Great Pyrenees with badger markings and the kind of calm, steady presence that makes an impression almost immediately.
Approximately 4 years old, Uncle Phil is a low-energy dog with a quiet demeanor and a grand stature.
He may not demand attention, but he knows exactly how to win it. In the yard, he enjoys galloping to the far corner, then turning right around and galloping back to your side, over and over again.
Uncle Phil is also a total gentleman on the leash and very much enjoys being brushed. More than anything, his favorite place seems to be right by your side.
With his respectful nature and easygoing temperament, Uncle Phil would make an ideal companion or therapy dog for someone looking for a loyal friend with a gentle spirit.
His adoption fee is $130 and covers vaccinations, neutering, microchipping and routine veterinary care.
Visit the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 935 Convent Road NE. It’s open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Contact the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 256-734-5448 or cullmananimalshelter@co.cullman.al.us.
If Uncle Phil has already found his forever home by the time you read this, there are plenty of other pets still waiting for you to take them home.
