Jeanette Evelyn Holcomb, 90, of Baileyton, Alabama, was born November 3, 1935, in Cullman County, Alabama, and passed away March 27, 2026. Jeanette will be remembered as a devoted, faithful, talented, and spirited woman whose life reflected steady love for family, quiet strength, and enduring grace.
Jeanette was saved and joined Welcome Baptist Church in September 1957, a commitment that remained a meaningful part of her life. She also found joy in the simple, steady pursuits she loved—an avid softball player and an excellent pitcher, she played most of her life, especially between the ages of 30 and her 50’s. Jeanette was also an amazing seamstress, known for her skillful hands and the care she stitched into all she made.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her father, Leonard W. Hall; her mother, Lura Evelyn Mardis Hall; her daughters, Sharon Holcomb and Kathy Holcomb Haney; her grandson, Jared Black; her granddaughter, Josey Johnson; and 2 Sisters and 3 Brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Guy Holcomb; her beloved daughters, Karon Warren (Kenny) and Katrina Addison (Brian); her grandchildren, Jayme Guthrie (David), Jessica Johnson, Jenna Burgess (Michael), Kandace Braswell, Adam Black (Meagan), Austin Addison (Josie), and Garrett Addison; and her great-grandchildren, Kaden Boatright (Damian), Zaylie Guthrie, Makayla Cooper, Liam Flannigan, Jayden Burgess, Jazlynn Burgess, Weston Harden, RJ Braswell, Cole Englund, Carter Black, Layne Duke, Evan Watson, Natalie Watson and Branson Addison.
Visitation will be held at Moss-Service Funeral Home, Cullman, AL, on March 31, 2026, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life Funeral will be held at Welcome Baptist Church, 3017 Co Rd 1564, Baileyton, AL 35019, on April 1, 2026, beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Welcome Baptist Church Cemetery.
