Johnnie Thrasher Leigeber, age 82, of Hanceville, Alabama, passed away on March 23, 2026. Born on January 11, 1944, Johnnie was beloved and cherished by all who knew her. She was very devoted to her faith and had a steady love for her family and friends.
Johnnie is survived by her daughter, Tracy Leigeber Hartwig (Trent); her son, Derek Arthur Leigeber (Vicki); her sister, Barbara Thrasher Watson; and her brother, Harold “Butch” Thrasher. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alicia Victoria Hollis (James), Joseph Derek Leigeber, Nikolas Mason Hartwig and Emily Anne Leigeber (Gyver); and her great grandchildren, Ezekiel James Hollis, Abigail Victoria Mary Hollis, Daphne Anne Hollis, Joshua Derek Hollis and William Arthur Hollis. She is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents, Jep William and Flossie Eveleen Davis Thrasher; her husband of 51 years, Arthur Carl Leigeber; her brothers, Talmadge Thrasher and Marvin Thrasher; and her sister, Katie Hill.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held at Moss-Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd Ave Northwest, Cullman, AL 350555827, US, on Thursday March 26, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
