UPDATE: Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick has identified the victim as Christanna Nicole Anderson, 38, of Arab.
CULLMAN, Ala. – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon in a crash with a semi-truck at the intersection of Alabama Highway 157 and Childhaven Road. The Cullman Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) are investigating.
According to the CPD, a semi-truck pulling a trailer was traveling southbound on Alabama Highway 157 and attempted to make a left turn onto County Road 1339 (Childhaven Road) when it collided with a motorcycle traveling northbound on Alabama Highway 157.
The CPD Traffic Homicide Unit and an ALEA Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) Trooper responded to investigate the crash.
The collision resulted in the death of the motorcycle operator. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick was called to the scene.
No names or additional details are being released at this time.
