
DANVILLE, Ala. – The 2025 AHSAA Cross Country State Championship took place in Danville on Saturday morning, and the Cold Springs girls and boys took home some more hardware. The Lady Eagles finished as the 1A-2A state champions, while the Eagles ended up taking home the runner-up trophy.
The Lady Eagles finished with a team score of 45 and had five runners finish inside the top-25, while the Eagles finished with a team score of 87 and behind the 1A-2A state champions, Athens Bible School. Five of their runners collected a finish inside the top-30.
Individually, Reese Swidecki won the state title in the 1A-2A division for Cold Springs, while Vinemont’s Brady Johnson took home the state championship in the 3A division.
