COLLINSVILLE, Ala. – Holly Pond traveled to Collinsville for a huge region matchup Friday night but unfortunately for Bronco fans, they were unable to contain the Panthers’ offense and Collinsville was able to pick up a 45-22 win.

The Panthers put together three scoring drives in the first half to take a 17-0 lead into the locker room at the break. A 2-yard touchdown run by Boston Gibbs trimmed lead to 17-6 early in the third quarter and after Collinsville answered with another scoring drive, Gibbs found Fox Westall through the air for 12 yards and a touchdown to make it a 24-14 game early in the fourth quarter.

The Panthers tacked on another touchdown to move ahead 31-14 but a 12-yard touchdown pass from Gibbs to Miguel Garcia trimmed the lead to 31-22 with just under 10 minutes to play. However, Collinsville scored 14 unanswered points in the final nine minutes to pull away with a 45-22 win over the Broncos.

Holly Pond (4-5) will cap the regular season at home against Cleveland next week.
