CULLMAN, Ala. – With autumn air setting in and the community preparing to gather, the 2025 Cullman County Fair Parade is set to offer a spirited kickoff to the fair season.
The streets of downtown Cullman will come alive this Saturday, Oct. 4, as the Cullman County Fair Parade steps off at 2 p.m., marking the traditional start to one of the community’s most cherished fall events.
Parade participants will check in at the corner of Fourth Street Southwest and U.S. Highway 278, where they will receive lineup numbers and final instructions.
The parade will travel north along U.S. Highway 31, beginning near Sixth Street Southwest and continuing to Arnold Street Northwest.
To accommodate the procession, U.S. Highway 31 from Ninth Street Southwest to Main Avenue Northwest will be closed to traffic between 1:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early to secure a good viewing spot.
Floats, area marching bands, community groups and pageant winners and contestants will highlight the parade, while local churches and ministries are also expected to take part, continuing a tradition of offering outreach during the event.
The parade serves as a prelude to the Cullman County Fair, which runs Oct. 9-18, at the fairgrounds located at 1501 Sportsman Lake Road NW.
Fair admission is $10 for ages 10 and older, while children 9 and younger are admitted free.
Ride tickets are sold separately, with unlimited ride armbands available for $30 on weekdays and $35 Friday through Sunday.
The midway is provided by Kissel Entertainment, and exhibits will feature livestock, agriculture, arts, crafts and more.
