ARLEY, Ala. – Meek was back home to kick off region play against Hackleburg Friday night and the Tigers had their hands full with the Panthers. Meek trailed 12-0 at the halftime break and the Tigers’ offensive struggles continued in the second half, allowing Hackleburg to pull away with a 33-0 win.
A scoop and score gave the Panthers a 6-0 lead late in the first quarter and Hackleburg scored on a touchdown pass late in the second quarter to take a 12-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. The Panthers connected on three more touchdown passes in the second half to continue pulling away and the Tigers were unable to put points on the board offensively, leading to a 33-0 loss for Meek.
The Tigers (1-2) will be back home next week for a region matchup with Phillips Bear Creek.
