Center Hill Baptist Church in Hanceville recently made a public invite to the community to join choir rehearsals.
Center Hill’s pastor’s wife Angelyn Riggs said she is also the worship/choir leader and wanted to get the community involved in their program.
“We will be preparing for a program to perform at Christmas,” Riggs said. “I’ve never put the invite out publicly before. Usually it’s just our small church choir. But, if others show up wanting to be involved, they are very welcome and we can make it a community thing.”
Riggs shared that they are simply a small town choir preparing for a Christmas program.
“We will be performing the ‘Breath of Heaven’ Christmas cantata by Brentwood/Benson; however, we will most likely not perform the entire cantata because it’s quite long,” Riggs said. ”This is a laid-back, ministry focused choir. We love singing and worshiping together.”
Center Hill Baptist Church will host choir rehearsals on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. twice a month. It is located at 13108 County Road 747 in Hanceville.
