FAIRVIEW, Ala. — Fairview overcame an early deficit, scored 23 points in the second quarter and answered a second-half Brewer rally to defeat the Patriots 37-27 Friday night at Dafford Smith Stadium.

Fairview responded with its biggest quarter of the season. The Aggies struck twice through the air, added a rushing touchdown and received a safety from the defense during a 23-point second period. By halftime, Fairview had turned the seven-point deficit into a 23-7 advantage.

Brewer changed the momentum immediately after the break. The Patriots returned an interception for a touchdown early in the third quarter, although the extra-point attempt failed, cutting Fairview’s lead to 23-13.

Later in the quarter, Brewer scored on the ground and completed a two-point conversion. The 14 unanswered points pulled the Patriots within 23-21 entering the fourth.

Fairview regained control with a rushing touchdown and successful extra point early in the final period, extending its lead to 30-21.

Brewer answered with another touchdown pass, but the Patriots missed the extra point and remained behind 30-27.
