CULLMAN, Ala. – The Good Samaritan Health Clinic will offer vision exams at reduced prices with Alabama Lions Sight on Aug. 26 and Sept. 30.
Community Engagement Coordinator Susan Crane said the Clinic is blessed with an incredibly supportive local Lions Club.
“It was their idea to bring this much needed service to Cullman and to partner with Good Samaritan Health Clinic,” Crane said. “We are grateful for the Lions who come faithfully each month to volunteer. We love our partnership with the Cullman Lions Club. These vision exams are an extension of our long-term partnership and an impactful way to expand our services for our patients and the greater community.”
Crane said Alabama Lions Sight Mobile Eye Clinic makes visits around rural Alabama providing eye and vision exams to people of all ages who would benefit.
“Since launching our formal partnership with the Alabama Lions Sight Mobile Eye Clinic in May 2023, more than 200 community members have received comprehensive vision exams and eyeglasses,” Crane said. “The vision exams and eyeglasses are available through Alabama Lions Sight Mobile Eye Clinic at reduced fees. You do not need to be a patient of Good Samaritan Health Clinic — the vision exams are for anyone in need in the community.”
The Alabama Lions Sight Mobile Eye Clinic schedule is announced each quarter on Good Samaritan Health Clinic’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. They encourage everyone to follow them on social media so they can stay up to date on upcoming vision screening opportunities and other clinic news.
“We look forward to having the Alabama Lions Sight Mobile Eye Clinic parked at our new clinic site Sept. 30,” Crane said.
