CULLMAN, Ala. – Ms. Senior Cullman County Sheri Rasco and Ms. Super Senior Cullman County Mazzie Twilley competed in the Ms. Senior Alabama Pageant Saturday, June 6, in Daphne, with each bringing home honors.

Rasco was awarded Most Community Support – Ms. Senior Alabama, while Twilley took home People’s Choice – Ms. Super Senior Alabama 2026.

“We are extremely proud of them both. They both shined on stage,” said Gidget Gregory, director of the Ms. Senior Cullman County Pageant. She said the women were judged in the categories of interview, fun fashion, active wear, evening gown and on-stage question.

“They went to Daphne, Alabama on Thursday to start preparing for the pageant,” Gregory said. “They had a Queen’s dinner on Thursday night. On Friday, they practiced all day and the pageant was held on Saturday at 2 p.m.”

She said the date for the next Cullman County pageant hasn’t been set yet, but they are looking at late fall.

“Hopefully (we’ll) have a date set this week for our county pageant,” Gregory said. “Women don’t need to stop living their life fully just because of their age. Women have done so much in their life – for their family, work and the community. This is their time to shine and celebrate themselves. Women can be role models for those around them and share wisdom from personal experiences.”
