Sammie Audrey Jones, age 72, passed away on April 24, 2026. Born on February 7, 1954, in Cullman, Alabama, Sammie lived in Hanceville, Alabama.
Sammie served in the Navy as well as a carpenter, bringing steady hands and a practical dedication to the work entrusted to him. His life reflected a quiet reliability—an ability to build, repair, and provide in ways that were both tangible and lasting.
Away from work, Sammie found deep enjoyment in the outdoors and in nature, especially while fishing. He also loved going to estate sales, where he took pleasure in discovering rare and unusual items—small treasures that spoke to his attentive eye and appreciation for what others might overlook.
Sammie is survived by sisters Mary Moore and Joyce Hunter, and brother Doug Jones.
Sammie was preceded in death by Father Gilbert Fate Jones, Mother Mary Ruth Huffstutler Jones, Daughter Diane Jones and brother Dan Jones.
