With heavy hearts, but the assurance of eternal life in Heaven, we share the passing of our beloved Mother, Granna, Aunt, Sister, Daughter, and Friend, Kimberly Lancaster Thomas. She departed this life on April 15, 2026, surrounded by her family, and entered the gates of Heaven.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. The family will accept friends and family on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Kim dedicated her life to loving and serving others. She loved unconditionally, lived selflessly, and gave freely, making everyone she met feel like family. She was Momma to many, Aunt Kimmy to some, but her most cherished title was Granna. Her Grandchildren were her life and she never missed the opportunity to love on them, spoil them, or share how proud she was of them.
Preceding her in death were her parents James Hester Lancaster, Elaine & James “Jack” Persall, & brother, Marston Lancaster.
Kimberly is survived by: her loving children, Zach (Angela) Thomas & Emilee (Rory) Goodwin; her sister Kelly (Jeff) Cornett; grandchildren Seth Basinger, Paytin Thomas, Rylee Goodwin, & Brooklyn Thomas; step-mother Jewell Lancaster; 3 nephews; 2 great nieces; and 2 great nephews.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Cullman Regional Hospice for their care and compassion during this time.
