Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Holcomb attended the singing convention in Cullman Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Sizemore and Mrs. Sofa Bolden and children, visited uncle John Sizemore Sunday afternoon.

HAMBY’S CHAPEL NEWS
Vinemont, R 2. Oct. 10—Farmers are very blue after so much rain as cotton and peas will be badly damaged.
A good number of our folks attended the singing in Cullman Sunday and reported a fine singing.
Miss Queenie Pollard who has spent several weeks in Georgia, with relatives has returned to her home near Hamby’s Chapel to the delight of her many friends.
The Sunday schools at Enon and Hamby’s Chapel are moving along very nicely, they both observed promotion day, the 5th Sunday in September.
Mrs. John H. Holmes of this place spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Cullman visiting relatives of that place, also an uncle John P. Julian, of Marshall county, who is there for treatment and is in a very serious condition.
A great host of people enjoyed the Bartlett singing reunion at Hamby’s Chapel Saturday night. The Woodmen of the World quartette from Gadsden, was there and entertained the people with some wonderful selections, also several other quartettes, including the Smith trio of Cullman.
Royal Yeager and wife, Lee and wife of Elora, Tenn., attended the singing here Saturday night and visited relatives.
Everybody remember the annual church supper Saturday night, Oct. 13, at T. J. Bonner’s. Come and have a good time and help a good cause, charges will be small.
Rev. Sim Calvert preached a very interesting sermon at Enon Monday night.
