CULLMAN, Ala. – The Pilot Club of Cullman is swapping its usual rummage sale for a Fall Vendor Market on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Cullman County Agricultural Trade Center, with free admission for all who wish to attend.

Pilot Club President Brenda Allison said the decision to change reflects the club’s motto this year: “Work smarter, not harder.” Rather than collecting and organizing donated items for weeks on end, members have focused on bringing in a variety of local and regional vendors to create an authentic marketplace experience.

“We wanted something fresh and exciting — not a yard sale, but a real vendor market. We’ve had a great response, and we’re hoping to reach our goal of 50 vendors by the event date,” said Allison.

Attendees can expect a wide range of booths, including crafts, baby clothes, boutique items, purses and more. There will also be food trucks, nonprofit booths and special attractions for kids, including fire trucks from local departments rotating in throughout the day. Proceeds from the event will benefit the club’s many community initiatives, including Pilot Light Home, the Margaret Jean Jones Center and more. Organizations such as Unsheltered Ministries and Hope Horses will also have booths at the event.

Allison invited the community to come out, shop and support both local businesses and the Pilot Club’s mission.

“This is something new for us, but we’re really excited,” she said. “It’s a great way to bring people together while supporting local causes.”

Vendor spots are still available, and those interested can call 256-962-3601 or visit www.facebook.com/cullmanpilotclub for more information.
