FAIRVIEW, Ala. – Mayor Keith Henry called the monthly meeting of the Fairview Town Council to order on Monday, June 2. Councilwoman Julie Grimes opened the meeting with an invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance.
The first order of business on the agenda was to discuss the demolition of the local trailer park. Henry stated, “All of the trailers that are ours are empty. The two remaining occupied were waiting on better weather to be able to move their own trailers, so the area is about ready to be deemed surplus.”
Councilman Steve Eddleman made a motion to go ahead and deem the area surplus and to bid out the removal of vacant trailers. The council agreed unanimously.
Next up, Henry answered questions about the Town’s Air Evac contract.
“If you are a resident in Fairview and you don’t have an individual membership with them, they will pick you up anywhere in Cullman County – if you have insurance, it won’t cost you anything. If you don’t have insurance, you will pay the Medicare allowable rate, which is approximately $55,” he said.

In other business:
- Resident request for the repair of County Road 1668. Council stated it would inquire about grants to get the road paved and will schedule patching in the meantime.
- Resident acknowledged beaver dams forming near the end of Wesley Avenue causing road hazards. Council stated it would investigate the issue and contact the appropriate parties about rectification.
- Jack’s Family Restaurant update: Projected opening January 2026
The next Fairview Town Council meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on July 7, 2025, at Fairview Town Hall located at 7525 Alabama Highway 69.
