Mary C. Fairbrother Hudson, age 89, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
She is survived by her husband Maxie Hudson, her daughters from her late former husband Richard Fairbrother; Susie Stecker (Jim) of Houston, TX, Karen Miller (Robert) of Ashburn, VA, her stepchildren; Melanie Goodwin (Eddie) of Panama City Beach, FL, Paige Faulk (Billy) of Cullman, AL, Wesley Hudson (Kate) of Atlanta, GA, and Scott Hudson (Ashley) of Huntsville, AL, her grandchildren; John Stecker (Erin), Amanda Ostrom, Lindsey Miller, and Beth Miller, and four great grandchildren; and five step grandchildren.
Mary Catherine was born in Tuscaloosa, AL and graduated from the University of Alabama. She was the librarian at Cullman Middle School for 30 years. Mary loved reading and music. She sang in several choirs including the 1st Presbyterian Church of Cullman for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pearson and Penny Hatchett. She was also preceded in death by her brother David Hatchett.
The memorial service will be at The First Presbyterian Church,615 Third Ave. SE, Cullman, AL on Saturday, May 31st at 2 o’clock. Visitation will precede the service in the Church Fellowship Hall at 1 p.m.
