Funeral Service for Mr. Merlin David Cone, age 82 of Hanceville, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Rollo and Rev. Chris Chambless officiating; burial at Shelton Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Cone passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at his residence. He was born October 24, 1942, to Verdie Cone and Bedith Edwards Cone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Cone; brothers, Lavon Cone, Donald Cone and Rayburn Cone.
Survivors include his daughters, Katrina (James) Franklin and Lavonda (Kelley) Davis; sons, Van (Susan) Cone, Brandon (Cindy) Cone and Garrett (Rachel) Cone;
grandchildren, Tristan (Alicia Breyne) Cone, Vandiver Cone, Matthew McKinney, Jessika (Anthony McCurry) Davis, Caden Franklin, Jonah Davis, Cash Cone, Elyse Cone and Austin Walker; sisters, Joyce Jones, Alice Anderton and brother, Albert Cone.
