CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Police Department on April 1 said that it “proudly recognizes Officer Roy Bates for his exceptional work and dedication to public safety.”
In a post to social media, the department explained, “On January 14, 2025, Officer Bates successfully apprehended a fleeing felony suspect who had stolen a vehicle. His swift response and commitment to protecting the community played a crucial role in ensuring the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
“The Cullman Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to Officer Bates for his hard work, vigilance, and service to the citizens of Cullman.”
