St. Bernard Head Coach Tim Burleson,
“I am so proud of the girls, I believe this is the first time in about 20 years that the girls have done this. Several of these girls have been through some tough seasons here and they have persevered and gotten better. They have continued to practice and improve and they have never given up.”
St. Bernard Freshman guard Ella Davis,
“I am so happy to win and this is a big win for my team and my school. I know that we, as a team, worked so hard to get better this year. I mean we put in the extra work to make the extra pass, get the rebound and just get better as a team and as individuals. I thought that we could be a pretty good team at the start of the year, but you never know for sure until you start playing.”
