MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. – A Joppa man was arrested on a grand jury warrant by Morgan County deputies on Jan. 24, 2025.
In a case handled by Morgan County Sheriff’s Office investigators, Joshua Scott Anderson, 41, was charged with sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old.
Anderson was transported to the Morgan County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
According to Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry, the MCSO was the responding agency and was responsible for the arrest. The alleged crime occurred in Morgan County and that is where the charges stemmed from.
“The Anderson arrest took place in Cullman County, but he was then transported to the Morgan County Jail,” said Gentry. “Being able to collaborate with surrounding agencies and work together is an absolute necessity. I am grateful to have this individual picked up and in custody.”
