Hunter Persall dove into the entrepreneurial world in 2020. After graduating from West Point High School and starting college at Wallace State, Persall decided to try to earn a living by going into business for himself. He began Persall’s Pressure Washing that same year.

Not long after getting his business off the ground, Persall stated, “I had a friend tell me that I should hang Christmas lights for people. At first, I thought they were kind of crazy, but they had always given me good advice.”

Persall researched businesses that offered similar services and collaborated with Huntsville native, Nick Hall, to explore the opportunity of expanding his business. Persall’s Christmas Lights came to fruition in 2021.

After facing a health battle that should have left him blind by the age of 18, Persall was able to successfully establish two businesses independently. He attributes his success to his mother and the grace of God, stating, “God has brought me through a lot. I would like the community to know that I am forever thankful for the tremendous support so many people have given me. Growing up with barely any family, I feel like my business has brought me a big family…I will forever credit any success to my beautiful mother. She raised me as a single mother and worked 2-3 jobs to make sure I had everything I needed. She is truly my hero and I will spend my days trying to make her proud.”

As of 2024, services provided by Persall’s Christmas Lights include supplying lights, hanging them, taking them down and storing them for the next year. Persall said the best way to contact him is to set up an appointment through the business’ Facebook page. Check out his work or obtain a free quote at www.persallschristmaslights.com.
