CULLMAN, Ala. – Goat Island Brewing will celebrate its own contribution to local tradition as it holds its fifth annual “Goatoberfest” celebration this Friday through Sunday, Sept. 27-29, 2024, at the south Cullman brewery located at 1646 John Cooper Drive. This year the event has grown from one day to a whole weekend of live music, German cuisine and family friendly activities.

“I’ve been involved with Cullman Oktoberfest for years,” said Goat Island Co-Founder and President Mike Mullaney, himself a recent burgermeister. “Goatoberfest is just the kickoff for a week of activities, culminating with the Oktoberfest event at the festival area at Depot Park. It is an honor for me to be involved in this amazing celebration of Cullman’s German heritage.”

The festivities begin Friday at 5:30 p.m. with the tapping of the keg and the debut of Goat Island’s recently re-released Big Bridge IPA, along with a special Strawberry Wine bottle sale.
