CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Regional Foundation recently provided $200,000 for enhancements to the Cullman Regional Maternity Center. The funding will be used to enlarge and renovate the family waiting areas.

“The Cullman Regional Foundation is proud to donate $200,000 for the remodel of the maternity waiting area,” said Dr. Matt Dellinger, Cullman Regional Foundation president. “This donation showcases the power of collective efforts and highlights how communities come together to create lasting positive change, particularly in the health

care sector.”

Cullman Regional Maternity Center recently opened a Level II neonatal intensive care unit which is expected to help the hospital grow its birth volume. The enhancements funded by the Foundation will benefit the growing number of women and families who choose to deliver their babies at Cullman Regional.

“We are grateful to have the support of Cullman Regional Foundation,” said Charna Brown, Cullman Regional chief nursing officer. “As we continue our work to develop premier and comprehensive women’s health programs, we hope the Foundation and the community are proud to have been part of this important initiative.”

“The annual Cullman Regional Foundation Million Dollar Golf Extravaganza has had a positive impact on the hospital in the past, and this year’s tournament will support the hospital’s efforts to expand and improve women’s health care,” said Dellinger. “By bringing people together, raising funds, creating awareness and providing an enjoyable experience, the tournament proceeds will help enhance the guest experience in the maternity center waiting area.”

The construction project, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year, will enlarge the main waiting area to a total of 3,800 square feet. The renovated areas will feature new flooring and furniture, a new reception desk and amenities to make families more comfortable while they are at the hospital.
