Shakespeare was right when he coined the phrase, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” Sadie Rose is The Cullman Tribune’s Pet of the Week. (Cheyenne Sharp)

CULLMAN, Ala. – Sadie Rose is searching high and low for her forever family to bring her into their homes and hearts. Her mild disposition and gentle demeanor give her the perfect temperament for a companion or therapeutic friend for an individual with specialized needs.

The low-energy, 1-year-old Beagle and Red Heeler mix is perfectly content with wasting the day away on the couch next to her rescuers, in their arms, where she finds the most contentment, followed closely by the safety and security of her crate.  This brilliant lady is the perfect companion for long walks and leisurely strolls; her leash etiquette is on par with pets much older than she is, and her little legs trail behind as fast as necessary to never miss a moment. Sadie Rose is the quintessential lady, living her best life with manners and affection.

Sadie Rose is currently living at the Cullman County Animal Shelter located at 935 Convent Road NE. The shelter staff recommend a meet and greet between Sadie Rose and any prospective families to ensure a good match.

Her adoption fee is $130 and includes her spay, DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet and microchip.
