CULLMAN, Ala– The Easter Bunny is hopping around the corner at break-neck speeds. The date for Easter Sunday is an early one this year, with the sacred day marked for Sunday, March 30. While the true meaning of Easter is known, many celebrate with decorative grass, eggs, candy and food; two of those often combined with candy stuffed multi-colored eggs nestled in the perfect hiding place waiting to be found. Many families have hectic and busy schedules, running from place to place and work to practice, hardly ending up with enough time at the end of the day for homework and dinner, much less planning and placing an elaborate egg hunt.

For those families, a few individuals and organizations within Cullman County can take one egg from a basket this year and handle the hunt, leaving parents, caregivers and last year’s egg hiders a chance to sit back and enjoy the holiday.

Hope Horses, Inc.

Hope Horses, Inc. is a local non-profit offering Therapeutic Riding Programs to differently-abled and neuro-typical individuals in the North Alabama Area. As a yearly fundraiser, the volunteers and staff of the equestrian center come together to stuff vast amounts of easter eggs, allowing the community to place an order to have their yard filled with their desired number of eggs for a set donation fee. The center will hide eggs in front yards of locals who live within a 15-mile radius of the Hope Horses Inc. Headquarters, and the location must be safe for their volunteers to navigate at night. A donation of $25 will ensure one dozen stuffed eggs, $50 gets two dozen filled spheres, and a $100 donation guarantees a total of five dozen stuffed eggs making their way into perfect front yard hiding spots. Reserve the number of needed eggs by contacting krice@hopehorsesinc.com and leave an address, the ages of the hunters in the household and how many eggs should be reserved.

Good Hope High School Girls Volleyball

The girls and coaches of the Good Hope High School Volleyball team have decided to spread the joy this Easter Season with their candy-filled eggs and a personalized letter from the Easter Bunny to keep the magic alive for little ones. The pre-stuffed eggs will be delivered after dark on March 30 to any designated address within Cullman County limits. Interested households must register by March 19 in order to make the team’s egg list and participants can register online at http://tinyurl.com/7BH2s2E7 .

24 filled eggs will be $20, 48 eggs are $40, 72 eggs are $60 and a whopping 100 eggs will set someone back $75.

3Sixty Jeep Club

Local Jeepers are planning on assisting the community to make their Easter the best it could be with their stuffed egg fundraiser. Each egg will have a piece of sweet candy for the little ducks of the family to enjoy as they uncover the hidden spots that Waddles the Jeep Duck chooses. $25 will get 25 stuffed and hidden eggs, $50 ensures 50 eggs and the best value, $80 provides 100 stuffed eggs delivered to a yard and hidden to perfection. Contact the 3Sixty Jeep Club on Facebook or any of its members to reserve your eggs.

Cullman local Tracie Reeves will also be offering an egg-citing egg service to the residents in the county for Easter Weekend, extending her drop days and hours in an effort to include families and children who may split their time between homes and caregivers.

“I have limited availability for each of the days I am offering, I will be doing the weekend before Easter as well as Easter Weekend!”

In addition to the stuffed easter eggs in quantities of 30 ($20), 50 ($45), 70 ($50) and 100 ($75), Reeves is also offering Golden prize eggs into the mix for an additional $2 each. Baskets sit alongside eggs on the menu, with Custom filled Easter baskets starting at $25 and Easter Bunny pictures for $10. Text Tracie Reeves at 256-915-5030 to reserve your picks.
