CULLMAN, Ala. – Leisurely stroll takers and recreational hikers and wanderers: The Cullman Tribune’s Pet of the Week was made for you. Eva, a sweet, short-term resident at the Cullman County Animal Shelter, is patiently waiting to earn the adventure buddy or snuggle bug title and find her forever home.

Eva is a beautiful, intricately spotted black and white female Aussie mix who is approximately 6 years old. She has long outgrown her puppy roughness but maintains a sense of graceful playfulness. Her mature age lends her a calm demeanor and she loves simply hanging out and being near her humans.

A medium-energy girl, she also enjoys long afternoon walks and scenic wooded hikes, encountering crawly things or leisurely sniffing bushes as she parades past, never pulling her leash to get ahead. Eva is perfectly content to match her master’s pace and mind her manners while leashed.

Sitting on command is her favorite learned trick, while making her way into even the most hardened hearts is a trick that comes naturally.

Visit the shelter at 935 Convent Road NE. It is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Eva’s adoption fee includes a spay, DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet and microchip.
