CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office made five un-related arrests involving methamphetamine last week. 

Jan. 29

Deputies arrested Darren Dimitrious Culver, 31, of Jackson, Alabama, on an outstanding failure to appear warrant stemming from an incident that occurred in January 2023.  

Culver is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine. 

Jan. 30

Deputies conducted a traffic stop near the Grandview community. Jason Patrick Duke, 38, of Cullman, was identified as the driver. 

Deputies determined that Duke had an outstanding warrant and he was placed under arrest. A subsequent search of the vehicle and his person allegedly yielded narcotics and paraphernalia.

Duke is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespassing (warrant).

Deputies went to a residence in the Hanceville area to serve an outstanding warrant. Once on scene, deputies located Shalina Leigh Guthery, 31, of Hanceville, and Hubert Daniel Rusk, 63, of Hanceville. 

Narcotics and paraphernalia were allegedly found inside the residence. Both Guthery and Rusk were placed under arrest.

Guthery is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of dangerous drugs (warrant) and larceny (failure to appear warrant). 

Rusk is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

Jan. 31

Investigators and deputies went to a business on Eva Road for a follow-up investigation. Once on scene, they located and identified Miguel Recardo Samuels, 29, of Jasper.

A subsequent search of his person allegedly yielded narcotics. He was placed under arrest.

Samuels is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
