CULLMAN, Ala. – Nurses of all ages descended on Goat Island Brewing late Saturday evening to ditch the scrubs, let loose and relax. With beertenders pouring out frosty brews, local band Razz Matazz playing upbeat covers of all the classics and Mom & M’s dishing out tasty twists on Southern favorites, the night was a major hit.

Said Ashley Hicks, organizer of the event and administrator of Venza Care at Falkville Health and Rehab Center, “We just wanted to come out tonight and show our appreciation for all the nurses in the county. If they have any needs, we just wanted everyone to know that this resource is here for them.”

Goat Island Brewing Co-Owner Brad Glenn said the event was fairly indicative of the culture at the Goat as a whole. “Our owners and staff, we’re all about community,” he said. “So this is just another opportunity for our community to give back to our first responders, and hey, the more the merrier!”
