CULLMAN, Ala. – Monograms Plus held its soft opening at the store’s new location Friday, July 21.
Owner Lynsey Todd said she was very excited for the move. Monograms Plus has been a staple retail store in the Cullman community and has been a growing business since it opened in 1999. Todd’s decision to move out of the Warehouse District was made to accommodate the expanding store and also to give her customers better access to parking.
The new location is 10,000 square feet, and there are four adjacent tenant spaces that are available for rent. Todd said she hopes to eventually host block parties for her customers.
“We would really like to create another shopping experience where our customers can come and park and hit several stores,” she said.
Todd has been working hard to prepare her store and was very excited for her customers to return and shop in the new location.
“It’s been a great run in the Warehouse District. We will miss our neighbors over there and being close to everybody,” she said. “I’m looking forward to expanding the shopping experience.”
Todd said she was blown away by the support the new location received.
“There was actually a line formed outside, so that’s always exciting when we see that,” she smiled. “But I guess my biggest surprise was all of the customers that came in that had never been in before. We have gotten a ton of new people in just this week from everybody we’ve talked to. We’ve had people that have lived here their whole lives and haven’t heard of us or just haven’t stopped by and they wanted to see what was in the new building that was being built.”
The official grand opening of Monograms Plus will take place Aug. 8.
