Graveside service for James Drake ‘Ja’ Hembree, 54, of Logan, will be at 2 p.m., Monday, June 12, 2023 at White Oak Baptist Cemetery, Rev. Steve Bryan officiating. There will be no formal visitation.

Ja passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at UAB Hospital. He was born April 1, 1969 to David and Diane Drake Hembree. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. He loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ira and Myrtie Hembree, Bill and Vera Drake and a grandchild.
Survivors include his parents, David and Diane Hembree; sons, Kale (Katrina) Hembree, Keston (Paige) Hembree; daughters, Katlyn (Dylan) Sellers, Rachel (Trent) Campbell; brothers, Heath (Lesley) Hembree, Dustin (Lonna) Hembree; grandchildren, Brystil, Braiden, Allie, Scout, Presley, Charlie, Marley, Brylee, Georgia, Ford; and a host of family and friends.
