CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) on Thursday, April 20, welcomed two newly sworn-in deputies.

Deputy Nelson Hernandez and Deputy Francisco Ayala graduated from the Alabama Police Academy in Selma.

“The police academy is not for everyone. It is extremely demanding,” Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry said. “I am very proud of their commitment and determination. We want all of our deputies to be as prepared as possible to protect and serve the citizens of Cullman County. The police academy is a great step in that process.”
