CULLMAN, Ala. – UPDATE: As of 4/3/2023, the Senior Egg Hunt originally planned to be hosted at Sportsman Lake Park has moved to the Cullman County Agricultural Center due to inclement weather.

The Cullman County Commission on Aging will host an Easter celebration for seniors on Wednesday, April 5, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Cullman County Agricultural Center.

The morning will be packed with sponsored activities, including a hunt for eggs filled with candy from Alabama HomeCare (with a special prize egg sponsored by District Attorney Champ Crocker), lunch provided by SouthernCare Hospice Services and Jack’s Foodland and a special Easter message from Ory Hampton, pastor at Daystar Church, Good Hope campus. Other sponsors include Cullman County Parks and Recreation and Gentiva Hospice.

Cullman County Commission on Aging Executive Director Stephanie Lawson shared her gratitude, stating, “We are so thankful for our opportunities to gather with our seniors, and we’re so grateful to all of our local businesses and elected officials for donating items to make it extra special. Now we’re just praying for good weather, and for everyone to have fun!”
