This dry season threatens the water supply in Cullman and Cullman County. 

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Crouen are visiting relatives here, before leaving for California, to make their home. 

Glen Jetton of Gold Ridge spent Saturday night with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Jelton. 

Everyone should please remember the church supper at Mr. Tom Brown’s on the fourteenth of this month. It will be a good chicken supper. 

There was a good singing at George Williamson’s on Sunday afternoon. 

The candy making at Mr. Herbert Brock’s on Saturday night was enjoyed by all attending. 

Mr. C.H. Grob is opening a new Western Auto Associate Store. 

Colonel Thomas W. Millican, Ezra Williamson and Roy Ingle spent Monday in Scottsboro. 

Alvin Camp spent the weekend at home with his parents. 

Mrs. William Lessman is critically ill at her home on the Bremen Road. 

New members of the Hanceville Culture Club are Mrs. Joe Ray, Mrs. Fred Shauer, Mrs. James Edmondson and Mrs. Finley. 

Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Johnson of Tuscaloosa spent Sunday in Cullman as the guests of their daughter, Mrs. H.B. Rowe and Mr. Rowe. 

Doctor Sidney Morrow, of Birmingham, spent Sunday in Cullman as the guest of his mother, Mrs. Bess Morrow. 

Fred Peinhardt spent Thursday in Birmingham. 

The Panama Community is about finished picking cotton. 

Most families need to inspect their buildings and other surroundings to see if everything looks safe from fire and accidents. 

There will be a chicken supper at Walter School on Friday night. 

Leroy Box died in Plains, Texas at the age of 55 years. He has three sisters, Daisy, Lillie and Sardis.

Tom Muse has retired at the age of 65. He spent several days in Bremen, Georgia last week visiting his 105 year old mother. 

Doctor Harry Fuller is heading a committee to raise money for new Cullman High School band uniforms. 

Thomas Daniel Sloan, age 78, was fatally injured on Sunday afternoon about 1:30 when he was hit by an automobile.
