CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Zoning Board of Adjustments & Appeals on Monday approved a variance for a proposed hotel along Hayes Drive off the Alabama Highway 157 thoroughfare.

The plans for a new 5-story Ramada Inn allow for 107 parking spaces for the proposed site’s 107 hotel rooms, which is fewer than the zoning ordinance requires. The ordinance requires parking spaces for guests and employees. Once it was noted that most of the staff members would be parking during the daytime and not overnight when most guests will occupy the parking spaces, the variance was approved.

The site is located behind Burger King and adjacent to the Holiday Inn Express.
