Funeral service for Arthur Buell Paschal, 92, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, at Cullman First Baptist Church with interment in Jones Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Rev. Steve Rodgers will officiate.

Mr. Paschal passed away Dec. 29, 2022, at Cullman Regional. He was born Feb. 17, 1930, to Joseph Marvin and Daisy Etta Harbison Paschal. He was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church. He was born and raised in Jones Chapel, AL. He graduated from West Point High School in Cullman in 1949 and joined the U.S. Marine Corp in 1950. Art fought in the Korean War and is a decorated war veteran. He worked for the US Postal Service for 27 years. He is remembered by his family as a wonderful storyteller, farmer, gardener and hard worker. He loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jo Paschal; brothers, Joseph Thurman Paschal, Gene Paschal, Voight Paschal; sister, Mildred McNabb.
Survivors include his daughters, Beverly (Richard) Poston, Pamela (Buddy) Smith, Pier (Ross) Baggett, Sonya (Dan) Gibbs; grandchildren, Dr. Richard Poston, IV, Elizabeth Poston, Jane Marie Poston, Tara Smith, Clint (Brooke) Smith, Zachery (Mary Beth) Allred, Joshua (Jenna) Allred, Jacob (Cassie) Baggett, Justin Gibbs, Lauren (Cory) Ballenger; great-grandchildren, Juliet Smith, Cayden and Bentley Allred, Anna Claire and Emma Kate Allred, Maddy Hudgins, Rae and Rainey Ballenger; family and friends.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
