Students at Cullman City Primary School and Cullman Middle School celebrated local veterans Thursday with songs and a parade, in commemoration of Veterans Day 2022.
Students created artwork and posters, sang patriotic songs and waved and cheered as local veterans drove past the schools for a drive-thru parade.

Cullman City Primary School Principal Elizabeth Shaddix said they have spent the week teaching their young students about patriotism and what it means to be a veteran, and the parade was the culmination of those lessons.

“This parade for our local veterans gives our students the opportunity to show gratitude for the sacrifices made to protect our freedoms,” Shaddix said.
