The gate to Rock the South will open in less than 24 hours and now is the time to map out a parking plan or consider a ridesharing service. Parking will begin at noon on both Friday and Saturday and handicap assessable parking will be available. For the official parking lots, the cost will be $25 per day payable onsite by cash only on a first come, first served basis. The online parking passes have sold out.

RTS’s Shane Quick reports, “For parking this year, many neighbors and local farms are now participating, and we are excited to work with the entire community to accommodate our visitors from all over the country.  There will also be signs posted all around the area that we are encouraging people to follow in order to ensure that parking is as easy as possibly for everyone at the event.”

Private parking appears to be available on County Road 469, near the intersection of County Road 436 and Logan Avenue Southwest, and on Leonard Road south of Logan Avenue Southwest. Those spots are made available by private individuals and the cost will be determined by each lot.

Rideshare will be available on the southeast side of the event’s perimeter. Quick shares, “There is a rideshare dropoff and pickup located on the corner of Swafford Rd. SW and Logan Ave. SW that has been designated for the use of any rideshare services attendees may choose to utilize.”

As previously reported, official RTS parking will be available on County Road 469 which will be accessible by turning south on County Road 473 from U.S. Highway 278 West. The second official parking lot will be on County Road 436. This lot can be accessed from U.S. Highway 278 West by turning south on County Road 463 and then east on County Road 436. From the south, the lot is available from County Road 222 by turning north on County Road 421 then east on County Road 436.
