From family and friend gatherings to holiday events, and activities centered around water, we encourage additional safety measures to be taken to ensure the best out of your summertime memories.

Here are a few tips the CCSO shared:

  1. Keep the doors to your house and vehicle locked, with valuables out of sight.
  1. Do not open the door for strangers and/or uninvited guests.
  1. Have lights and/or TV’s set on timers when away to give the impression someone is home.
  1. Have a trusted neighbor or family member check on your residence if away on vacation.
  1. Do not post on social media that you are leaving or while you are away– (share your vacation after you return home).
  1.  Make good personal decisions concerning alcohol. Do not drink and drive. The Sheriff’s Office will be conducting Safety Check Points at various times throughout the summer months.
