Hulsey arrested for outstanding child abuse/torture warrants

CULLMAN, Ala. – Kered Evan Hulsey was arrested on Mar. 21, 2022 at the Cullman County Detention Center for three outstanding warrants which stemmed from a 2021 child abuse incident.

The Cullman County Sheriff’s office confirmed the 21-year-old Vinemont man was charged with two counts of assault / aggravated child abuse and one count of willful abuse of a child.

According to court documents attained by The Tribune, Hulsey was charged of torture or willful abuse of a child under his supervision on Dec. 22, 2021, resulting in a broken clavicle. The victim was less than 18-months-old at the time of the alleged incident. 

Court documents revealed that Hulsey had been accused of the same charge previously to the same victim, resulting in broken wrists. 

He was charged with two counts aggravated child abuse and one count torture/willful abuse of child.

Hulsey made his first appearance in court this week and is not scheduled to reappear before the judge until April 2, 2022.

He was released on $70,000 secured bond via A1 Bail Bonds.
