Funeral service for J P Brown, 92, Cullman will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Jones Chapel First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Reverend Chris Chambless will officiate the service. The interment will be in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Brown was born July 26, 1929 to Thomas Dealous and Mary Elizabeth Pearson Brown. He passed from this life on February 8, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was a dedicated deacon and member of Jones Chapel First Baptist Church for many years. He served his country in the Army being deployed to England during his military career. Mr. Brown loved to farm. He also loved round track racing and supported his family in racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson: Jeremy Sams and brothers and sisters: Edward Brown, James Brown, Opal Skinner, Sarah Bryan, Dean Rodgers, Sue England, Miriam Parker, Barbara Carpenter and and Tom Brown.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 67 years: Lorene Williams Brown; son: Kenneth (Laura) Brown; daughter: Linda Sams; sister: Mittie Carpenter; grandchildren: Lenisa (Stephen) Hutson, Whitney (Matt) Dyer and Cole Brown and great-grandchildren: Savana Sams, Brody Sams and Fisher Dyer.
