Mrs. Quick passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at her residence.  She was born January 29, 1936 to William Leonard and Myrtice White Gossett.

Shirley Quick, mom-grandmother.  To know her was to love her.  Shirley lived her life with a passion for love and acceptance of all people.  We are so grateful to have had her as such an incredible example of kindness, honesty and strength.  We, her children, grew up with the most incredible role model who taught us to always be yourself and to love one another.  We will miss her smile, her laugh and her bubbly personality.  She loved all of you and her memory will live on in all of us.  If we could see inside heaven today, we would see mom (Shirley), Dad (Junior) and Mike (brother) singing with the Victoryaires the songs we heard them sing so many times.  “I Will Meet You In The Morning” and Just Inside the Eastern Gate.”  This is not goodbye, but until we meet again.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Junior Quick; son: Mike Quick; father: Leonard Gossett; mother: Myrtice Wallace; sister: Wilma Powell; brothers: Robert and Richard Gossett and a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Survivors include her daughters: Becky (Billy George) Cornelius and Nancy Pemberton; sons: Roy (Teresa) Quick and Greg Quick; 11 grandkids; 22 great-grandkids; 10 great-great-grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
