CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Police Department announced they would be having their 2021 Truck or Treat Halloween event on October 27 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

CPD Public Relations Officer Adam Clark said they are very excited to be teaming up with Merchants Bank again for the return of trunk or treat.

“This is one of our biggest and most enjoyable community policing events of the year,” Clark said. “We love to be able to interact with the kids and see them have a good time.”

Police Chief Kenny Culpepper said they truly look forward to giving back to the community with this event. On location, there will be police cars, fire-trucks, a DJ, Halloween candy and games for those in attendance.

“We will have our police vehicles in the parking lot in between Depot Park and the police department,” Culpepper said. “Many of our officers and department staff will be dressed up and handing out candy. The Fire Department also participates, and the helicopter will land on site. The kids and those who attend will be able to see everything while they trunk or treat.”

Culpepper said donations are taken, which then furnishes the candy that they provide to the trunk-or-treaters.

He also named his executive assistant Rita Bailey as the mastermind behind the CPD’s trunk or treat event.

“We are so looking forward to this year’s Halloween event. It has been two years since the last one, so we hope to make it bigger and better than ever on October 27 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.”

The Cullman Police Department is located at 601 Second Avenue NE.
